Taking her name from the King of Handcuffs – Harry Houdini (1874-1926) who was born Erik Weiss and grew up in Appleton, Wisconsin, Erika is rejuvenating a once-traditional art form and bringing it to a new generation. Reimagining the typical “restraints” (pun intended) of the typical male escape artist, Erika blends tradition and modern theatrics in a manner that hasn’t been experienced before. In ABRACADABRA, Erika is going to present a new act, “Lady in the Water” for the first time – anywhere. She has been training for this groundbreaking underwater endeavor tirelessly – in Wisconsin, just like Erik Weiss – Houdini – did 100 years ago.
