Joliet, IL (December 27, 2017) – John Condron is the founder of the revived music scene in downtown Joliet. Originally from Philadelphia, Condron has made his home in Joliet for over two decades, recently celebrating his 20th anniversary show at Chicago St Pub.

“Celebrate local, homegrown talent, it is as good here as it is anywhere,” Condron boasts at his frequent Chicagoland shows. Dubbed “one of the Chicago’s hardest-working gems,” by New City Magazine, Condron has played with actor Viggo Mortensen,
musicians Joseph Arthur, Paul Brady, Mickey Harte, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Duncan Shiek, Adrian Belew, and Chicago’s best slam poets, including Marc Smith and Marty McConnell. He has recently played at the Green Mill in Chicago and the National Concert Hall in Dublin.

Condron’s performances are chronicled by the work of Wilco photographer Zoran Orlic and he is sponsored by Hanson Guitars in Chicago. Come celebrate the good-looking maestro with the hat, who shimmy’s his sidestep, acoustic in hand, fronting his latest folky American backing band The Old Gang Orchestra for his sixth record release, “Dead Tree” at the beautiful Rialto Theater on February 16.
