Joliet, IL (August 17, 2018) –VenuWorks and Rialto Square Theatre announced today that comedian and country singer, Rodney Carrington will play the Rialto Square Theatre on Friday, November 16 at 7:30 pm. Tickets go on sale Friday, August 24 at 12 PM. This show is for mature audiences only.
Rodney Carrington is a multitalented comedian, actor, and writer, who has recorded multiple comedy albums, selling over 3 million copies. Morning Wood has been certified gold and Greatest Hits has been certified platinum by the RIAA. Rodney starred in his own TV sitcom Rodney, which ran for two seasons on ABC. He co-wrote and co-starred with Toby Keith in the feature film Beer for My Horses. In 2011 Rodney partnered with the American Country Awards (ACA), presenting at their awards show and hosting the American Country New Year’s Eve Live show on Fox.
According to Pollstar, Rodney has been one of the top ten highest grossing touring comedians for the last ten years and among the top five the last several years. Rodney is on track to be in the top five again this year. He regularly performs to sold-out crowds across the US and Canada.

To usher in the upcoming Twenty-Twenties, famed time-twisting musical collective Postmodern Jukebox will circumnavigate the globe in 2019 on their Welcome to the Twenties 2.0 Tour. The tour is meant to prepare the world for a new decade — one that Postmodern Jukebox creator Scott Bradlee hopes will see a return to the style and craftsmanship that typified the music of past generations.

Boz Scaggs joined the Steve Miller Band in 1967, performing on the albums Children of the Future and Sailor, before launching his solo career in 1968. Scaggs continued to mine a personalized mix of rock, blues, and R&B influences, along with a signature style of ballads on such influential ’70s albums as Moments, Boz Scaggs & Band, My Time, Slow Dancer and Silk Degrees. Joliet, IL (July 17, 2018) – Rialto Square Theatre announced today the viewing of the family favorite movie, The Sandlot, a part of the #TBTuesday Summer Movie Series, has been rescheduled to Tuesday, July 31st at 7pm.
“Due to a scheduling conflict and unforeseen circumstances we have rescheduled the showing of our third movie in the #TBTuesday Summer Movie Series, The Sandlot, to Tuesday, July 31st at 7pm” Rialto Square Theatre executive director, Val Devine said. “We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.” Patrons who have purchased advanced tickets, but cannot make the new date, can get a refund from the box office.
The Sandlot, which recently celebrated its 25th anniversary, has become a summer classic for people of all ages. When Scottie Smalls moves to a new neighborhood, he manages to make friends with a group of kids who play baseball at the sandlot. Together they go on a series of funny and touching adventures. The boys run into trouble when Smalls borrows a ball from his stepdad that gets hit over a fence. The movie is rated PG13 and the run time is 1 hour and 41 minutes.
Tickets for the original date will be honored on the new date. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the box office during normal business hours, or at the door the night of the movie. All tickets are $5, and seating is general admission. The doors to the lobby open at 6pm, followed by an organ concert around 6:30pm, and the movie at 7pm.
