Scotty McCreery

Scotty McCreery has been a household name for nearly half his life, ever since making history in 2011 as both the first country artist and the youngest male artist of any genre to debut his first studio album, the Platinum-certified Clear as Day, at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. With his latest album Rise & Fall, featuring his sixth No. 1 single “Cab in a Solo,” current single “Fall of Summer,” and 12 additional tracks, McCreery explores classic themes of heartbreak, rowdy nights, nostalgia, faith, newfound joy, fatherhood, and enduring love, and through it all, felt comfortable being himself, resulting in a project full of electrified twang, rich baritone vocals and insightful storytelling.

The 31-year-old has sold more than 4 million albums and achieved 6 No.1 hits: the recent “Cab in a Solo,” the RIAA Platinum-certified “Damn Strait,” the RIAA Gold certified “You Time,” the RIAA Gold certified “In Between,” the RIAA Platinum certified “This is It,” and the RIAA Triple Platinum certified ‘Five More Minutes.” The North Carolina native has earned one Triple Platinum, five Platinum and four Gold singles; one Platinum and two Gold albums; won the 10th season of “American Idol” in 2011 at age 17; was named the ACM New Artist of the Year in 2011; won two CMT Music Awards, the first for Breakthrough Video of the Year (“The Trouble with Girls”) in 2012, and the second for Digital-First Performance of the Year (“It Matters to Her” from “CMT Stages”) in 2024; and BMI Awards for writing One of the Top 50 Country Songs of the Year five times (in 2015 for “See You Tonight,” in 2018 for “Five More Minutes,” in 2019 for “This is It,” in 2021 for “In Between,” and in 2022 for “You Time”).

He was awarded Pandora Billionaire status in 2021 in recognition of his music achieving more than one billion streams on Pandora. His song “Five More Minutes” inspired two popular holiday movies which aired on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Network: “Five More Minutes” in 2021 and “Five More Minutes: Moments Like These” in 2022. He released his first book Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream in 2016. Last year McCreery was inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame. Earlier this year, he was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry by Josh Turner and Randy Travis, after being invited late last year by Garth Brooks. Sharing the Stage for an Evening of Song: Patty Griffin, Hayes Carll, & Lori McKenna

It was just announced 2x GRAMMY® Award-winning artist Patty Griffin, GRAMMY® Award-nominated, Americana Music Award-winner Hayes Carll, and 2x GRAMMY® Award-winning singer-songwriter Lori McKenna will be at the Rialto Square Theatre on Saturday, November 16.  This special show will feature all three artists performing together, sharing songs and stories from across their acclaimed careers.  Tickets go on sale Friday, September 13, at 10 AM!

ABOUT PATTY GRIFFIN:

Patty Griffin is among the most consequential singer-songwriters of her generation, a quintessentially American artist whose wide-ranging canon incisively explores the intimate moments and universal emotions that bind us together. Over the course of two decades, the 2x GRAMMY® Award winner – and 7x nominee – has crafted a remarkable body of work in progress that prompted the New York Times to hail her for “[writing] cameo-carved songs that create complete emotional portraits of specific people…[her] songs have independent lives that continue in your head when the music ends.” 2019 saw the acclaimed release of the renowned artist’s GRAMMY® Award-winning 10th studio recording, PATTY GRIFFIN, available via her own PGM Recordings label via Thirty Tigers. One of the most deeply personal recordings of Griffin’s remarkable two-decade career and first-ever eponymous LP, PATTY GRIFFIN made a top 5 debut on Billboard’s “Independent Albums” chart amidst unprecedented worldwide acclaim, and later, a prestigious GRAMMY® Award for “Best Folk Album.” In 2022, Griffin shared TAPE, a collection of rare demos and home recordings hailed by No Depression as “a thoughtful collection of found objects…Griffin’s fans will be quite glad to have these songs in any form for the light they shine on her brilliance.” In addition to her creative career, Griffin has also devoted considerable energy and focus towards the wellbeing of the planet as well as showing compassion for the less fortunate among us via personal and public acts of charity. Having crafted a rich catalog that chronicles love and death, heartache and joy, connection and detachment, Patty Griffin continues to push her art forward, as always imbuing every effort with compassion and craft, uncanny perception, and ever-increasing ingenuity.

ABOUT HAYES CARLL:

Hayes Carll is at the forefront of a generation of American singer-songwriters. A Texas native, his style of roots-oriented songwriting has been noted for its plainspoken poetry and sarcastic humor. Though hard to pigeonhole, he’s still been embraced with two Americana Music Awards, multiple Austin Music Awards, and a 2016 GRAMMY® Award nomination for “Best Country Song,” while twice having the most-played record on Americana radio and songs recorded by Kenny Chesney, Lee Ann Womack, and Brothers Osborne, to name a few. 2021’s You Get It All, his acclaimed eighth solo album, found Carll in top form, turning droll confessions, messy relationships, motel room respites, and an exasperated, hitchhiking God into modern nuggets. 2024 saw Carll uniting with The Band of Heathens as Hayes & The Heathens for a series of live dates and the 4/20 anthem, “Nobody Dies From Weed,” hailed by Rolling Stone as “a jaunty celebration of life.

ABOUT LORI MCKENNA:

From her home base in Boston, Lori McKenna has carved out an enviable niche for herself as one of Nashville’s most in-demand songwriters, all while maintaining a prolific and remarkably consistent career as a solo artist. The release of 2023’s 1988 adds to a series of landmark years for McKenna and follows three widely acclaimed albums: 2016’s The Bird & The Rifle, 2018’s The Tree, and 2020’s The Balladeer, the latter of which saw Associated Press praise, “McKenna has by now long established herself as one of the best songwriters working in any genre. And she does it again and again.” Hailed by The Tennessean as “one of the sharpest pens in modern country and folk songwriting,” McKenna continues to enjoy success as one of the music industry’s most in-demand songwriters along with her career as a solo artist. In 2017, McKenna became the first woman to win the Academy of Country Music’s “Songwriter of the Year” award and the first woman to win the Country Music Association’s “Song of the Year” award two years in a row. She also won back-to-back GRAMMY® Awards for “Best Country Song” for 2016’s “Girl Crush,” performed by Little Big Town, and 2017’s “Humble and Kind,” performed by Tim McGraw. In 2021, McKenna won her third “Best Country Song” GRAMMY® for co-writing “Crowded Table,” performed by the Highwomen, with Brandi Carlile, Natalie Hemby, Maren Morris, and Amanda Shires. In 2023, she received an additional “Best Country Song” GRAMMY® Award nomination for co-writing “I Bet You Think About Me (Taylor’s Version) (From the Vault),” performed by Taylor Swift.  In addition to writing songs for a multitude of award-winning artists — including Hunter Hayes, Faith Hill, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw and Carrie Underwood — McKenna also co-wrote “Always Remember Us This Way,” featured in the Oscar-winning 2018 film, A Star Is Born.
